  • ORTHOPEDIC EVALUATIONS/SURGERY

Our doctors welcome complex orthopedic cases for second opinions and/or advanced surgical intervention. Dr. Culbertson is the only veterinarian in Ocala who performs the Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteostomy (TPLO) for the torn cruciate ligament. The TPLO is considered the "gold standard" treatment for this common orthopedic injury in large dogs.  He also performs state-of-the-art fracture repairs using external fixators, the interlocking nail or plating procedure.

  • LASERS

Lasers are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery. Lasers replace scalpels in many procedures, and are useful for a wide range of conditions, such as cyst, tumor, and wart removal, and can even be used in general surgeries such as spays and neuters. Laser procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling. They reduce risk of infection and result in less post-operative discomfort.Vetsuite_Img_41814

  • DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. In-clinic and at-home sealing treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

We use only modern, safe general anesthesia during dental procedures with close physical and instrument monitoring of vital signs.  We also use local anesthesia and pain control medications when extractions or painful procures are necessary.
