Doctor

  • Kelly Culbertson , DVM


    Dr. Kelly Culbertson is a 1991 Summa Cum Laude (#1 in his class) graduate from Texas A&M University. A native of Texas, he has lived and worked in Ocala since graduating from veterinary school. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the Marion Veterinary Medical Association (Past President; Past Secretary/Treasurer). He is also active in the Morriston Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Finance Committee. Dr. Culbertson is married with one son, a daughter and three animal children. He is an avid fisherman who enjoys spending time with his family and playing guitar. Vetsuite_Img_41807

  • Pam Neiser , DVM


    Dr. Pam Neiser is a 1993 Summa Cum Laude graduate from Auburn University.She and Dr. Culbertson have worked together since 1994, beginning at the Ocala Animal Emergency Hospital where she served as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Neiser has also worked as a relief veterinarian at various local hospitals. She began doing relief work at Town and Country in 1998. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Neiser is married with one son, a daughter and three animal children.

  • Randy Prezzano , DVM


    Dr. Randy Prezzano joined Town and Country Animal Hospital in 2001. He was born in rural, upstate New York. He moved to Melbourne, Florida, in 1991 and began his college career at Brevard Community College. In 1994, he moved to Gainesville to earn a degree in animal science from the University of Florida. He received his Veterinary degree from UF in 2000. His interests outside the veterinary hospital include fishing, hiking, gardening and watching Gator athletics. He is married to Dr. Destiny Prezzano and has one daughter, twin boys, and three animal children.

  • Destiny Prezzano , DVM


    Dr. Destiny Prezzano joined Town and Country Animal Hospital in June 2005, after graduating cum laude from the University of Florida. She is originally from Erie, PA, but moved to Florida in 1992. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association and the University of  Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Council. She is also a member of  Oak Griner Baptist Church. She is married to Dr. Randy Prezzano, another of Town & Country's veterinarians. She enjoys being a mom, spending time with family and friends, cooking and traveling. She has three animal children.

  • Leah Smith , DVM


    Dr. Leah Smith joined the Town and Country staff in 2007. She graduated from St. George's University in 2006 after completing clinical studies at the University of Florida. A South Florida native, she attended Broward Community College before transferring to the University of Florida to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She spends her free time reading, watching football and enjoying a wide variety of music. She enjoys shopping, traveling and spending time with her family, friends and two mischievous cats.

  • Dr. Cameran O'Rourke , BVMS


    Dr. Cameran O'Rourke is Town and Country's newest veterinarian. She is a 2007 valedictorian graduate from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Born in San Diego, she moved to Australia at age 11. This move nurtured a passion for horse riding and prompted her to pursue an education in veterinary medicine. She returned to the United States in 2008 to compete in horse riding and begin a career in small animal medicine. Her hobbies include horse riding, snow boarding, soccer and roller blading. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family. She has one dog, one cat and three horses.

Management

  • Jennifer Rhodes , Hospital Manager


     

    Jennifer is manager of Town and Country Hospital. An Ocala native, she has lived in Ocala for 30 years. She has worked in the small animal veterinary field since 1991. She worked with Dr. Culbertson at another practice in Ocala before assisting him with the opening of Town and Country in 1997. She worked as a veterinary technician before assuming her current position. She enjoys her career in the veterinary field because of the bonds built between staff, patients and their owners. She is married and has one son, Logan and two daughters, Belle and Morgan. They also have 4 cats, 2 Dalmations and a Bouvier. She enjoys spending time with family, gardening and reading.

Technician

  • Haley Castleberry


    Haley is an ACT certified veterinary technician who has worked in the small animal field since 2005, and in equine medicine since 1993. She plans to graduate in the Fall of 2008 with an associate degree in Equine Studies. She loves getting to work with animals every day, forming bonds with both the animal and their owner. She works with Horses for the Handicapped and several local shelters. She is married and has one dog and five horses. She has qualified for the National Hunter Finals and is an equine massage therapist and an ACT certified assistant. Vetsuite_Img_47280

  • Erin Dean


    Erin is the team leader of the veterinary technicians. She began her career in the veterinary field in 1998 and worked her way up from kennel attendant to ACT certified technician. She is married with one daughter, Madison, plus an array of animal children including 6 dogs, 2 cats and 3 horses.

  • Crystal Estel


    Crystal has worked in the veterinary field since 1999 and says she can't imagine doing anything else. She has two sons, "Caiden" and "Jayce" who take up all of her free time. Her four-legged kids include a dog, "Koala" and a cat, "Chillz." Prior to moving to Ocala she lived in Okeechobee, Florida. Vetsuite_Img_82145

  • Ross Gerrish


    Ross is an ACT certified veterinary technician who has worked in small animal medicine since 1994, the same year he moved to Florida from Michigan. His favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is surgery, especially orthopedic procedures. He is married and they have seven four-legged children – two dogs and five cats. His hobbies include darts, pool, watching football and hockey, and riding his Harley.

  • Heidi Kropp


    Heidi is a state licensed veterinary technician in both Florida and Wisconsin who has worked in the veterinary field since 1988. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology and an Associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Heidi likes using her skills to help animals when they are sick, plus sharing her knowledge with fellow pet lovers to help keep their pets well. She is married and has an 11-year-old Standard Longhaired Dachshund named Kirby (yes – like the vacuum cleaner!)

  • Kate Shannon


    Kate is a state licensed veterinary technician who has worked in the veterinary field since 1998. She earned her degree at the State University of New York at Delhi. She loves getting to play with all of the adorable animals on a daily basis; always being on the move and busy; and seeing the patients who come to see us on a regular basis and are excited to see me. She is married with one son, “Brodie.” She also has five four-legged children – 2 dogs, 2 cats and a ferret. Outside of the hospital she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling home to New York, going to the beach and reading when she gets a chance. Vetsuite_Img_47283

  • Nikki Doyle


    Nikki has worked in the small animal veterinary field since 2007. Prior to that, she worked in equine veterinary medicine for six years. She was a Harness Racer and a pleasure rider for about 15 years. She has one son, "Dalton. She loves animals and has two dogs, three cats and one retired harness racehorse.   • Megan Jones


     

    Megan is an ACT certified receptionist who dearly loves animals and can’t imagine the world without these fuzzy, feathered, and scaled companions. She began volunteering with aviary and marine rescue groups as a child in the Florida Keys. Her best friend growing up was a Shih-Tzu named “Bogey.” She and her husband, a fellow animal enthusiast, have a dog named "Gizzy" and a cat named “Tiger.”  In her spare time she loves to travel all over the world, most recently to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador to study the local animal life and their habits.

  • Amanda Lovejoy


    Amanda is an ACT certified receptionist and team leader. She has worked with animals since 1996, but some of her fondest childhood memories are of “Bear” a beloved chow chow mix. She enjoys working with animals because they are loyal and kind, and they are great listeners. They can always keep a secret! She is married with two sons, Hayden and Ashton, a dog and 2 cats.

  • Erin Webber


    Erin is an ACT certified receptionist who loves working with animals (and people). She notes that she has been around animals her entire life and cannot imagine being without at least one animal companion. She is married and has three beloved canine companions and one cat.

Kennel

  • Diane Keresturi


    Diane is an ACT certified kennel manager at Town and Country. She had always dreamed of owning a kennel, and jumped at the chance to work in the hospital’s boarding facility. Since 2002, she has taken care of most of the animals who have spent the night at Town and Country. She notes that the animals’ unconditional love has gotten her through many difficult times, so it only makes sense to pay that back any way she can. She is ACT certified, but says that with the help of the doctors and technicians she still learns something new every day. She has 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Assistants

  • Courtney Walker


    Courtney is a veterinary assistant who has worked in the small animal field for nearly 20 years. Her experiences are wide and varied – from pet shops, supply stores, boarding kennels, several animal clinics and hospitals, to even a world-renowned clinic and research facility. She notes that every day is a new adventure with the ever changing technology, expertise and camaraderie between staff, clients and their pets. She is married and shares her home with, as she put it, an ever-changing menagerie of furred, feathered and finned creatures which currently includes 4 Italian Greyhounds, 2 parrots and 1 cat. She enjoys an array of outside interests including reading, quilting, dancing, camping and traveling. She is also trying her hand at running her own business – The Wonky Nose Farm which offers homemade soaps and bath care products.

  • Amanda Champion


    Amanda is an ACT certified veterinary assistant who began working in the veterinary field since 2007. She enjoys being able to assist the technicians and the veterinarians with the care of the animals. An avid pet lover, she has 4 dogs, 1 quarter horse and a ball python. She’s always been involved with animals, especially horses. She has barrel raced, shown halter, pleasure, hunter and driving.
